Garfish season started today! Garfish, better known as chum, is a very slender fish that grows to about 50cm. The long beak and beautiful colors are especially distinctive.
The garfish is usually a very tasty fish that you can prepare in either the pan (in butter or breaded), on the grill or in the oven. Even smoked, this fish is su-per delicious! Rather make a good fish soup? Then you can definitely add garfish in this as well. Be careful though; the garfish is a fish that has a lot of bones in it. So you better pay attention when you eat it. But despite the amount of bones, this is a real treat! The season of garfish runs from May to June.
